When a long awaited holiday of a cement truck driver Danny (Ifans) goes sour, he escapes his suburban prison and blasts into the skies in a garden chair tied with helium balloons. He rockets into a different world while the media back home run riot with the story of his disappearance. His 15 minutes of fame turns his life around.
